Located in a tranquil sanctuary, you will experience a one-of-a-kind getaway in the midst of nature, allowing you ample time to unwind and relax. The room is situated in a separate building from our main house, offering a cozy space of 28 m² with a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom. The room features a comfortable 140cm bed, along with a 90cm bed that can be converted into a sofa if there are only two guests. Additionally, you will have access to a library, table, chairs, mini-fridge, microwave, stove, coffee maker, kettle, and crockery. Outside the room, you can enjoy the shaded garden under the pergola, or opt for a magnificent view while dining at the forest table. Children will also have a designated play area to enjoy.
We accept payments via check. The price for the room is 45€ for two people or 55€ for three people, including a small organic breakfast (consisting of one double bed and one single bed). Additionally, we offer organic and vegetarian meals for 12.50€ per person, available on-site and with prior booking (only on Fridays and Saturdays). We regret that we are unable to accommodate pets.
In the nearby village, you will find a pottery shop and a local shepherdess who sells delicious cheeses. Within the Baronnies region, there are various attractions to explore, such as a castle, a Cistercian abbey, a stunning gorge, an interpretive trail known as the "Little Amazon," as well as numerous picturesque villages where time seems to stand still. The scenery is truly enchanting and has been officially classified as such.

Description for Gite

Situated at an elevation of 660m above sea level in a tranquil village called Baronnies, you will find "The Barn Owl" cottage. Immerse yourself in the serenity of nature while enjoying breathtaking mountain views. The cottage is surrounded by 3,500m² of land, sharing the space with our main house and a separate guesthouse. This renovated barn features a ground floor with a combined living room and kitchen, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. Upstairs, you will find two interconnected rooms, one with a 140cm bed and the other with bunk beds for children. Take advantage of the corner garden to savor your meals while admiring the stunning mountainous landscape. (*Also available on the same site is our B&B "Chickadees" for 2 or 3 people.)

Rental details:
- Outside of school holidays: 285 euros per week
- During school holidays: 385 euros per week
- We regretfully do not accept pets.
- Payment by check is accepted.

Upon check-out, a tourist tax of 0.50 euros per person per day will be collected, while those under 18 are exempted.

Additional services:
- For your convenience, we provide a sufficient supply of wood free of charge to fuel the wood stove for your evening relaxation. However, the main source of heating is electric.
- Linen rental is available as an optional service (single bed sheets: 10 euros, double bed sheets: 15 euros, towels: 5 euros per person). Payment for these items can be settled upon arrival.
- Upon departure, you have two options for the end-of-stay cleaning: either take care of it yourself, or for a fee of 50 euros, we will handle it for you.

The town of Lies is located 8 km from Bagnère-de-Bigorre, a charming spa town with a delightful farmers market every Saturday. Enjoy various amenities such as a spa center (Aquensis), a cinema, a theater, and a swimming pool. Within a wider range, you'll discover the ski resort Domaine "TOURMALET - BAREGES La Mongie" just 20 kilometers away, the impressive Peak Midi de Bigorre (known as the ship of the stars), and the renowned city of Lourdes. Our valleys offer numerous opportunities for medium and high mountain hiking.

Super régions , chambre dhôtes sans grand standing , mais elle a plein de charme et ce qu'il faut pour passer un séjour très agréable .Et en plus de la gentillesse des propriétaires le panorama est grandiose . Merci

Début novembre...Petit WE de repos dans un endroit paisible et un accueil fort sympathique.
La chambre équipée est très confortable et laménagement cuisine permet d'être indépendant pour les repas.Nous n'avons pas pu goûter aux repas du soir maison car nous sommes restés trop peu de temps.Nous recommandons cet endroit et un grand merci à nos hôtes pour leur service.
