Description for B&B:

Located at the junction of the Yonne river and the Canal du Nivernais, the village of Mailly-la-Ville offers a unique setting for boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, or leisurely walks. The river and canal are major tourist attractions, especially since the village is adjacent to the beautiful "Les Coûtas" coasts, which were once covered in vineyards but disappeared in the early 20th century. These coasts provide stunning panoramic views from the village's pathways.

Situated overlooking one of the locks of the Canal du Nivernais, there are three guest rooms available on the first floor of a 17th-century building, separate from the owners' residence. On the ground floor, there is a relaxation area reserved for guests, including a fully equipped kitchen for dining or meal preparation. Additionally, guests have access to a shared inner courtyard with the owners.

With a total capacity of eight people, it is possible to book all three bedrooms and transform the guest rooms into guest houses. The guest rooms, known as "Les Coûtas," are open year-round.

The "Chambre du Père Leleu" family suite, with a capacity for four people, offers a privileged view of one of the canal locks and the Yonne River, allowing guests to fully appreciate its location. The suite's name pays homage to a local figure, "Father Leleu." Father Leleu, a former Communard, settled in the nearby commune of Saint-Moré in 1887. After serving as a soldier, he made his home in a cave overlooking the Cure and Roche Percee, where he discovered numerous prehistoric artifacts. He utilized his troglodyte living environment, giving tours of his "apartments" and showcasing live vipers. In 1913, his body was found inside his cave, with the circumstances surrounding his death remaining a mystery. Your stay here could be an opportunity to explore the legend and follow in Father Leleu's footsteps.

The family suite consists of two rooms, with one double bed and two bunk beds. It has a private bathroom and a separate toilet. A refurbishment option is available for children under six years old. The double bed measures 140 cm, while the single bunk bed measures 90 cm. The suite also includes two desks, two storage cabinets, electrical heating, a shower room with a shower and washbasin, a heated towel rail, and a hairdryer.
