Sardinia, an island immersed in the sea, known for its natural beauty, is the perfect destination for your holiday. Each year, visitors from around the world are captivated by its unique colors and ancient traditions. Situated in the heart of the Mediterranean, Sardinia enjoys a mild climate influenced by Atlantic, African, and Arctic air masses. With approximately 300 sunny days a year, the weather is clear and pleasant.

Sardinia boasts a large and diverse natural landscape, including beautiful lagoons, majestic coastlines, and preserved nature. It is a paradise for those who enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, beach-going, and relaxing under olive trees. The island's 1,800 km of coastline is adorned with stunning white sandy beaches, rivaling those found in Polynesian lagoons. Nature reigns supreme in Sardinia.

Cala Gonone, an island within an island, is a small seaside resort overlooking 40 km of rugged and untouched coastline in the Orosei Gulf. With minimal concrete structures, its beaches, including Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Mariolu, Cala Biriola, Cala Fuili, Cala Cartoe, and Cala Osalla, are among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. Coastal towers and limestone cliffs occasionally interrupt the pristine beaches. A holiday in Cala Gonone offers a return to nature with fascinating sights from ancient times, as well as modern and comfortable facilities. A daily boat service allows easy access to the most breathtaking parts of the coast.

Cala Gonone is also a haven for archaeology enthusiasts, with numerous burial grounds, dolmens, Giants' Tombs, nuraghi, and nuragic villages dating back to the Neolithic period. This treasure trove of ancient relics remains shrouded in mystery, making it a delight for archaeologists and fans of prehistory.

For those seeking adventure, Cala Gonone is a magical place for climbing and trekking. Its cliffs, such as "La Poltrona" and routes like the "Supramonte" in the Gorroppu gorge, challenge even the most skilled climbers. The reward is a paradisiacal view and one of the most spectacular panoramas in Sardinia. Excursions to the Canyon Gorroppu, Nuragic Village Tiscali, and from Cala Fuili to Cala Luna are highly recommended.

Cave enthusiasts can explore Bue Marino, a partially underground cave with a large dry tunnel, and Ispinigoli, a cave with a grand stalagmite column 38 meters high.

Sports enthusiasts will find a wide range of activities available in Cala Gonone. The area offers modern facilities for various sports, making it a paradise for extreme sports lovers, such as free mountain climbing and bungee jumping. The mild and temperate climate allows for year-round climbing, while the crystal-clear waters provide opportunities for diving and water sports. Additionally, there are opportunities for trekking, mountain biking, tennis, go-karting, football, volleyball, windsurfing, waterskiing, canoeing, and fishing.

Don't miss out on boat excursions to the stunning beaches of Cala Luna and Cala Mariolu, as well as visits to the Bue Marino caves, Canyon Gorroppu, and Nuragic Village Tiscali.

Sardinia is easily accessible from London, with cheap flights available from RyanAir and Easyjet. To reach Cala Gonone, car hire is recommended, especially if you wish to explore more of the island. The journey from Olbia takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, from Alghero around 2 hours and 20 minutes, and from Cagliari about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Car rental options can be found on websites such as Hertz, Rent.it, and Holiday Autos.
