Description for B&B:

Our accommodations are tastefully furnished and consist of two self-contained studio apartments. Each apartment features a luxurious king size bed, an ensuite shower room, a small kitchen, and a breakfast room. The kitchens are equipped to prepare light snacks, warm up food for children, pack lunches for the day, and prepare dinner.

Due to the COVID pandemic, we are currently unable to offer breakfast or evening meals. As a result, the studios are rented on a Gite basis, or self-catering, and the price is adjusted accordingly. We do, however, welcome dogs, and our guest rooms open directly onto a large garden where you can relax. The garden also includes a picnic and barbecue area, as well as sunbeds for your enjoyment.

We have a friendly and well-behaved Border Collie named Freddie, who is loved by all of our guests and visiting dogs. Additionally, we have recently welcomed a new addition to our family, Loupie, an equally adorable and well-behaved German Spitz who is sure to bring joy to your stay.

In addition to the comfortable accommodations, we offer amenities such as Freeview TV with both English and French channels, free internet/WiFi, a boules game, a fridge freezer, a microwave, a cooker, access to a washing machine and dryer upon request, and a hair dryer.

Our B&B is located in a rural area, providing a unique opportunity to explore the richness of our region, indulge in regional products, and meet local people. The Calvados region, beyond its coastal area, offers beautiful landscapes, architecture, and numerous tourist sites. From the Bessin area, famous for the D-Day Landings, to the Pays d'Auge with its charming half-timbered houses, and the wild gorges and picturesque valleys of La Suisse Normande, the diversity of places to see is remarkable.

The Bocage Virois is ideal for walking and fishing, while the Pays de Falaise holds historical significance as the fiefdom of William the Conqueror. As you explore this beautiful area, you will appreciate the subtle diversity and natural beauty of the environment.

We are conveniently located near the famous beaches of the Normandy Landings, including Omaha, Arromanches, Juno, Pegasus, as well as memorials and the old castle at Vire. Other nearby attractions include Mont St Michel, Bayeux with its famous tapestry, Falaise with the castle of William the Conqueror, and the surrounding countryside which offers opportunities for motor biking, cycling, climbing, canoeing, paragliding, golfing, and fishing. There are also numerous way-marked and unmarked walking paths, with Roche d'Oëtre being a favorite among visitors.

Thury Harcourt, Clecy, and Le Vey are all worth a visit, while Bagnole de l'Orne is particularly charming during the spring and summer months with its abundance of hanging baskets and flower box displays. The town also features a casino by the lake and numerous restaurants. Just a 15-minute drive away is the castle at Carrouges.

Surrounded by history and nature, whether you are passing through or staying for a few extra days, your time at La Ferme Bed & Breakfast will be luxurious, comfortable, and memorable. Our tranquil and peaceful setting provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The only sounds you will hear are the delightful melodies of birdsong.

In addition, we have a beautiful display of dahlias on the terraces opposite the house, providing constant beauty and fresh-cut flowers from July until the first frost. We also provide tourist information leaflets, maps, and routes, and are happy to recommend our favorite local restaurants.

Please note that we have a strict no smoking policy. Additionally, while our current accommodations do not offer wheelchair facilities due to the age and structure of the house, they are located on the garden/parking level for guests with mobility difficulties. Parking is conveniently located directly in front of the door.

Description for Gite

You have the option to book our apartments as self-catering gites, with a minimum stay of one week (7 nights). Each studio apartment can accommodate an additional guest with a fold-up bed, and we are happy to provide a baby cot at no additional cost.
