Description for B&B:

Our chambres dhôtes, which is a French guesthouse or bed and breakfast, is situated in the charming market town of Felletin, just a short 10-minute drive from Aubusson. Located in the department of La Creuse, within the Limousin Region, our guesthouse is conveniently positioned between Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand in the heart of France. This central location makes it an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Auvergne region, including attractions such as La Mont Dore and the Puy-de-Dôme.

The main house has been carefully restored, preserving its original features and complemented with carefully selected antique furniture. While the building primarily dates back to the 18th century, certain parts may have even older origins, as it is built on the site of one of the four gates to the medieval fortified town.

We offer traditional French chambres dhôtes with a touch of luxury, providing guests with spacious and beautifully appointed ensuite rooms at affordable prices. Additionally, we have the option to serve delicious vegetarian evening meals for our visitors.

The cost for a one-night stay in either Chambre 1 or 2, accommodating 1 or 2 persons, is 50 Euros. Chambre 3 can be utilized as an apartment and includes a kitchen along with a large bathroom featuring a full-sized bath and a rain-shower. The rate for Chambre 3 is 60 Euros with the kitchen or 50 Euros without.

For those requiring extra beds, there is an additional charge of 10 Euros per bed per night. We also offer a breakfast option at 6 Euros per person and vegetarian evening meals at 20 Euros per person, which include 3 courses, cheese, and coffee.

Felletin serves as the gateway to the plateau de Millevaches and is surrounded by picturesque countryside, forests, and lakes. La Creuse is a perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts, including walkers, cyclists, anglers, and photographers who can appreciate its year-round beauty. With its stunning churches and other architectural gems, Felletin itself offers plenty to explore without venturing far.

The water in Felletin is sourced from the mountains, providing natural and chemical-free water straight from the taps, which contributes to the delightful flavor of the locally brewed beer, Fellis, produced in a microbrewery in town.

The town hosts a vibrant market every Friday and various festivities throughout the year, including a Christmas market in winter and a world music and dance festival during the summer months. Other notable events include a book festival (journée du livre), a beer festival (fête de la bière), and the fête de Felletin.

The town square and its charming cobbled streets offer a range of amenities, including cafes, bars, restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops, two well-stocked supermarkets, banks, gift shops, and a tourist information office. There is also a larger supermarket on the outskirts of town, which is within walking distance.

The churches in Felletin are architectural marvels worth exploring, and the town also offers unique attractions such as a former diamond processing plant. Felletin is renowned for its tapestry, much like its neighboring town Aubusson, and visitors can visit the famous Pinton factory, where the world-famous tapestry depicting Christ in Coventry Cathedral was produced. If you are seeking a chambres dhôtes in Aubusson, we recommend trying 3 Place des Arbres, our luxury guesthouse located just 10 kilometers away, making it an ideal place to stay.

The scenic River Creuse flows near Felletin, providing a picturesque setting for enjoying a glass of champagne and savoring locally produced cheese on delicious French bread during a delightful evening.

La Creuse offers a truly wonderful experience for visitors, allowing them to explore the best of the Limousin region while being on the border of the Auvergne. With just an hour's drive to the breathtaking Puy de Dôme, this captivating area is definitely worth a visit.
