Appréciations pour Glencairn Inn, Lismore:

A short while ago..
Review by: Larry Hunley, Juil 9 2021 11:08PM
Stayed at this inn after reading Karen Brown's guide. It was called Buggy's then and Mrs. Buggy was welcoming. Mr. Buggy had drawings all over the walls and caught the salmon that we ate that night. Its been awhile since we were there, but I still remember it .

Directions

From Dublin: To reach our destination, you can follow the signposts for "The South" or Limerick or Cork. Take the N7 and M7 towards Port Laoise, bypassing it. Avoid taking the N9/M9 unless you plan on visiting Kilkenny or Waterford city. Instead, take the turn off for Cork (N8). Keep an eye out for the turn off for Cahir in Tipperary, approximately 8 miles past the Cashel bypass. In Cahir, turn right in the center of the town and drive past the castle. Look for the signposts for Clogheen or "The Vee" (R668), which will lead you over the Knockmealdown mountains and into Lismore.

From Lismore: After leaving Lismore, take the Tallow road by turning right at the monument, following the signs for Glencairn. We are just 2 miles from this point, on the right, shortly after a junction.

From Cork Airport: Upon leaving the airport, take the left turn at the roundabout, following the signs for Cork. Continue towards the Kinsale roundabout, approximately 3 miles from the airport. Use the middle lane as you approach the roundabout and take the fourth exit, signposted "N25 (EAST) (N8, N20, N28) Rosslare, Waterford, Dublin". This road will lead you east out of the city towards Waterford and our destination.

A few miles along the N25, you'll go through the "Jack Lynch" tunnel and reach another large roundabout. Use the middle lane initially and take the second exit, signposted "Dublin/Fermoy" (N8). Later, take the exit for "Rathcormac, Watergrasshill" and at the following roundabout, take the second exit for "Watergrasshill". Continue following the main route through the village. After a few miles, you'll see large paddocks on your right and a turn off for Tallow/Midleton. Take this road and less than a mile later, there will be a junction. Turn left here, following the signs for "Tallow" and "Castlelyons". This road will lead you to Tallow, passing through the villages of Conna and Curraglass (where there is a Petrol Station). In the middle of Tallow, turn left at the T-junction.
