Situated near the charming medieval city of Mirepoix, Montségur, and the Pyrenees, l'Oustal aux Hirondelles serves as a central base for exploring the Cathar Pyrenees. This simple-style cottage is located in a tranquil and relaxing Ariège hamlet. Spanning approximately 140m², it features a spacious living room-kitchen of around 30m², four bedrooms (sleeping up to 140 people), a bathroom, an outdoor courtyard, and covered parking for vehicles. Within a five-minute walk, you'll find a local artisanal bakery with a grocery store and newspapers. Additionally, there is a river just 100m away.

Our warm welcome awaits you from April to the end of October, with sliding scale rates based on the number of rooms occupied. Prices start at 300/week for up to two bedrooms, 400/week for three bedrooms, and 500/week for all four bedrooms (excluding tourist tax). The cottage's functional layout combines simplicity with modern comforts such as a TV, dishwasher, washing machine, conventional and microwave ovens, and more. The large fenced outdoor space allows for alfresco dining (with a table and barbecue) and covered parking for your vehicle.

Within a 50 km radius, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, whether it's exploring cultural and historical sites or partaking in outdoor sports.

The surrounding area boasts various towns, including Lavelanet, Pamiers, Foix, Tarascon, Carcassonne, St. Girons, St. Lizier, and Toulouse. Furthermore, Andorra is just 1 hour and 30 minutes away, while the sea and Spain are within a 2-hour drive.

Ariège offers a multitude of leisure activities, ensuring there's something for everyone, from natural sites and museums to local gastronomy. The medieval city of Mirepoix, with its cathedral, the Rock Church of Vals, the Merovingian archaeological site of Tabariane, and the city of Gabriel Fauré in Pamiers are all within close proximity.
