Description for B&B:

Located in the picturesque village of Bédoin in Provence, Les Maquinols Estate is perfectly situated at the base of Mont Ventoux, renowned as one of the most challenging climbs in the Tour de France. Our estate offers spacious and beautifully decorated accommodations, ensuring that you can fully relax and enjoy your holiday. Whether you're a family, couple, or a group of cyclists or bikers, you'll find our property ideal.

Conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from the village via a private path, Les Maquinols Estate is surrounded by 5000m2 of secluded land. Despite its peaceful setting, you'll have easy access to over a dozen restaurants, catering to various budgets, as well as bars, shopping opportunities, circus performances, arts and crafts fairs, sporting events, and year-round concerts.

Every area of our estate provides breathtaking views of Mont Ventoux, the largest mountain in the region and a haven for cyclists and hikers. With private secured parking and gated entrances, you'll have peace of mind during your stay. Additionally, the entire house is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, and each bedroom features a kitchenette area with essential amenities for added independence. The main kitchen is located on the first floor.

Surrounded by vineyards, cherry orchards, olive groves, and fields of lavender, our estate offers unparalleled opportunities for walking and cycling enthusiasts. Nature lovers and birdwatchers will be enthralled by the stunning surroundings. Despite being nestled upon a hill overlooking the village and Mont Ventoux, you're just a short walk away from the vibrant village life.

The interior of our home exudes a rustic Provence charm, with a large living room, a salon with a large screen TV, and a dining area that comfortably seats 7. There are four extra-large terraces with comfortable seating and tables, providing both incredible views and complete privacy. The house boasts four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. The master bedroom, spanning over 70m2, features an extra-large king-size bed, with an adjacent bedroom accommodating up to 5 guests if needed. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Additionally, there is a mezzanine bedroom on the ground floor and another bedroom on the first floor, each with its own private bathroom. While the house can accommodate up to 13 guests, we prefer to maintain occupancy around 6 or 8 for optimal comfort.

In the surrounding area, you'll find a plethora of activities to enjoy, including cycling, swimming, hiking, and wine tasting. With over two hundred vineyards and domains nearby, such as Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Vacqueryas, Beaumes-de-Venise, and Gigondas, oenophiles will be in paradise. Beyond Bédoin, you'll discover numerous charming Provencal villages, landmarks like the Palais des Papes, bustling markets, arts and crafts, and more than 18 Relais & Chateaux properties, transformed into culinary delights. The drive to Avignon, known for its theater, arts, and music festivals, takes approximately 35 minutes. Marseille airport is about 1 hour and 15 minutes away, while Aix-en-Provence, Arles, Nîmes, and beaches like Saintes-Marie de la Mer can be reached within an hour.

Furthermore, there are ample opportunities for hiking, easy walks, and strolls along the more than 4000 kilometers of paths and trails that traverse Mont Ventoux to the Luberon Hills. Along the way, you'll encounter charming stone villages, refreshing streams, and red ochre hills adorned with ancient cypress trees, all capturing the essence of the region. For experienced riders, there are also extensive marked trails for horse riding, while canoeing and kayaking enthusiasts will appreciate the beautiful waterways found in Vaucluse, including the Sorgue River and Fontaine-de-Vaucluse.
