Description:

Description for B&B:

Saint-Savournin is a charming French commune situated in the Bouches-du-Rhone department and the Provence-Alpes-Cote d Azur region. With a population of 3,151 residents (2009), it is nestled between Cadolive and Mimet at the eastern edge of the breathtaking Massif de l'Etoile. The locals proudly refer to themselves as Saint-Savournicains and Saint-Savournicaines.

The climate of Saint-Savournin is distinct due to its geographical location. Perched on the northern slope of the Étoile massif, the village enjoys a relatively high average altitude of over 440 meters. Consequently, Saint-Savournin experiences a more rigorous climate compared to neighboring towns such as Aix-en-Provence or Marseille, with afternoon temperatures often falling below 3 to 5 °C.

The commune benefits from its proximity to the national park of Calanques, which is a mere 14 kilometers away. Additionally, Saint-Savournin is conveniently located 14 kilometers from Aubagne, renowned as the City of Pagnol, and a short distance of 17 kilometers from the Aix TGV train station. Furthermore, it is less than 20 kilometers away from bustling cities like Marseille, Aix en Provence, and Cassis, and a mere 25 kilometers from Marseille Provence airport. This strategic positioning has earned Saint Savournin a well-deserved reputation as a gem within a "golden triangle."
