Description for B&B:

Welcome to MAISON 1780, a brand new and inviting address that will surprise you with its bold and refined decoration. Located in Cournon d'Auvergne, between the Volcanoes and Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Parks, MAISON 1780 is situated in the heart of the Auvergne region, just 15 minutes southeast of Clermont-Ferrand. It is also conveniently only 5 minutes away from the Zenith and the Grande Halle d'Auvergne.

Perfectly positioned, MAISON 1780 is less than an hour away from the main tourist attractions, making it an ideal base to explore the region's highlights.

As you pass through the gate, you will be captivated by the charm of this former winemaker farm, which dates back to the 18th century and was fully restored in 2017. Nestled in lush greenery and hidden from view, MAISON 1780 offers a tranquil haven and a chance to escape from the pressures of everyday life.

Our three bedrooms, named "BERRY," "POLLEN," and "POTIRON," including a spacious family suite, are located on the first floor and open onto a lovely garden adorned with fig trees, lilacs, lavenders, rosemary, and oleander. Each room is designed to play with light, creating a soothing ambiance and providing you with the comfort and tranquility necessary for a restful stay.

The interior of the house beautifully combines modern and traditional elements, such as volcanic lava stone staircases and slabs, old fireplaces, lime-washed timber-framed walls, original oak floors, vaulted ceilings, and tomettes. Period furniture, designer pieces, and cherished objects are showcased throughout, creating a warm and welcoming "family home" atmosphere.

Guests have access to spacious common areas, including a dining room and a living room. The surrounding hills beckon you to explore, while loungers in the shade of the fig trees and a terrace offer the perfect spots for well-deserved relaxation after a day of discovering the region's treasures.

Our gourmet and generous breakfasts will remind you of the joy of taking your time. You will be treated to a range of homemade products, including jams, brioche and pastries, organic bread and yogurts, local honey, cereals, fresh fruit, high-quality loose leaf tea, and fruit juices.

For dinner, we offer a table d'hôtes upon reservation (45 euros per adult, including wine / 35 euros per child under 18), which includes a welcome cocktail, a starter, a main course, a selection of local cheeses, and a dessert. Our cuisine pays homage to seasonal ingredients and celebrates the culinary treasures of our region.

To enhance your exploration of the region, we provide several itineraries that highlight the must-see sites nearby.

MAISON 1780 is a truly charming house in Auvergne that will captivate all travelers. It is a hidden gem that whispers its allure, as those who have discovered it wish to keep it a secret!

Please note that pets are not allowed, but we provide baby equipment for families, including a cot, changing mattress, mini bath, and high chair. Additionally, we offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screen televisions, desks, and mineral water in all the rooms. Hairdryers and organic soaps and shampoos are also provided.
