Description for B&B:

Experience the dream for yourself at "Au Passage du Gois" in Beauvoir-sur-Mer, situated along the magnificent Vendée coastline in the Atlantic Loire region. With an abundance of sun, sea, and beaches, this holiday destination is less than 400 kilometers from the port of Cherbourg and approximately 200 kilometers north of Bordeaux. Known for its stunning sandy beaches and unique microclimate, the Vendée boasts the second highest number of sunshine hours in France after the Rivièra (and the beer is much cheaper here too!). Whether it's summer or any other season, a visit to the Vendée is always worthwhile. Explore the coastal and inland attractions and activities that await you. We offer three charming B&B rooms, including a family room and two courtyard rooms. Additionally, our holiday cottage, converted from an old sheep stable, can accommodate up to four people. For larger groups, we have the main house from 1810, featuring four bedrooms and a separate 2-3 person apartment. Conveniently located near the Passage du Gois, there are three restaurants within walking distance, with more options in our village just 4 kilometers away. During the summer months (May-September), we also provide delicious meals in our summer kitchen. With 240 kilometers of coastline, including 140 kilometers of pristine sandy beaches, the Vendée is a top holiday destination in France. From picturesque fishing towns and rocky formations to charming coastal towns and the stunning nature of the Passage du Gois, there is something for everyone. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy activities such as surfing (windsurfing, kite surfing, and sand sailing), golfing, hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. Children will love the water parks, zoos, and aquariums in the region. The Vendée is also rich in history, with numerous museums, historical monuments, castles, and abbeys waiting to be explored. We have all the information you need and can provide you with an overview of the attractions available on the website of the local tourist office of the Vendée (www.vendeetourisme.com). Don't miss the incredible historical amusement park, Puy du Fou, which takes you on a journey through 2000 years of history. Just like the coast, the green and rolling Bocage region is renowned for its walking and cycling trails, as well as its vineyards in the south of the Vendée. It's time for a well-deserved holiday, a time to relax and enjoy. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Description for Gite

Introducing our charming holiday cottages, "La Bergerie" and "La Plage".

"La Bergerie" is a newly built cottage with a bright and spacious L-shaped living room featuring a pristine open kitchen. Original beamed ceilings add character to the house, while rustic wooden panels adorn the roof. The bathroom boasts a dazzling blue mosaic floor, and there is a separate toilet. The cottage offers two double bedrooms, one with a double box spring bed and the other with two single box spring beds. We also provide a cot or an extra bed upon request. Enjoy entertainment with the TV and CD/DVD player. For a small additional fee, we can prepare your beds and provide towels, or you can opt to bring your own linens.

On the other hand, "La Plage" is designed as a beachhouse, offering a separate living room that opens into the kitchen. A laundry room is conveniently located behind the kitchen. The master bedroom features a double bed, while three additional bedrooms are situated on the opposite side of the house, including one large bedroom with a double box spring bed and two singles. Similar to "La Bergerie," there is a separate toilet and a bathroom with a spacious shower and wash-hand basin. A cot or an extra bed can be provided upon request, and entertainment is available with the TV and CD/DVD player. Like "La Bergerie," we offer the option to have your beds made and provide towels for a small fee, or you can bring your own linens.

Both cottages provide fully-equipped kitchens, including dishwashers, washing machines, and fridges with freezing compartments. We supply cloths, tea-towels, and towels for your convenience, along with a basic stock of coffee, tea, sugar, condiments, and herbs. We kindly ask that you replace what you have used before your departure. Parking space for two cars is available for each cottage, and the gardens feature chairs, a table, sun loungers, and a BBQ for your enjoyment. Explore the Vendée with the information and recommended walking routes we have provided. If you prefer dining out, there are restaurants within walking distance or more options in Beauvoir-sur-Mer, just a short distance away. Join us for a special table d'hôte dinner or have croissants and baguettes delivered to your door in the morning.

Prices vary depending on the season, with special rates for longer stays and larger groups. It is also possible to rent multiple accommodations together for larger groups. Visit our website for weekly prices or reach out to us via email with any inquiries.

2 NUITS AU PASSAGE DU GOIS A BEAUVOIR/MER
Review by: Gisèle DUMAS , Avr 22 2013 10:55AM
