The Main House

The Maison de l'Orchidee is a historic Masters Vignernon house dating back to the 1700s. While preserving its original charm, the main facilities have been updated to provide a modern standard for bed and breakfast, known as Chambre d'Hotes. The presence of wooden doors and skirtings throughout the house adds to its historical ambiance. With central heating in all rooms, it is a perfect choice for breaks in the later seasons. The loft space has been insulated with half a meter of thickness, ensuring a cozy atmosphere during the winter months. This makes it especially delightful to visit in October and November, when the autumn colors are at their peak. Upon returning to the house, guests can enjoy a warm and inviting room, and in the winter months (November to March), they can indulge in a complimentary mug of hot chocolate or Coca. The construction of the walls helps to regulate the temperature, keeping it cool in the summer and retaining warmth in the winter. Additionally, each bedroom suite is equipped with large ceiling fans to circulate the air during warmer summer nights, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable sleep.
