Description for B&B:

Nestled along the banks of the Rhone River, this charming 17th-century Dauphinoise residence in Vertrieu offers a delightful escape. The village boasts two other castles, the oldest dating back to the 13th century. Our house consists of two apartments and five guest rooms, including a suite, all offering a serene landscape with breathtaking views of the Bugey Mountains. Surrounded by a peaceful park spanning over 8,000 square meters and directly facing the Rhone River, tranquility is guaranteed.

After three years of meticulous work, this pleasant and functional home has been transformed into a haven of peace. Our accommodations cater to various preferences, allowing guests to immerse themselves in modern or more stylish settings. With over 30 years of experience as a decorator and extensive travel backgrounds, my partner and I have created a cozy ambiance that remains practical, utilizing high-quality materials predominantly made in France. The linens provided are from our renowned Home CASSIOPEE collection, recognized in boats, prestigious hotels, and Oekotex manufacturing.

Not only are the decorative objects and most of the paintings and sculptures carefully selected, but they are also available for purchase. This allows guests to appreciate these pieces in a genuine context and envision them in their own interiors.

Our accommodations range from a 27-square-meter apartment with a comfortable 140-bed, kitchen, shower, and toilet, to various rooms with different themes and amenities. Each room is equipped with a Nespresso machine, bathrobes, a hairdryer, and a flat-screen satellite TV. The linens, toiletries, and daily cleaning service are all included.

Situated in the heart of the Blue Valley, this location is perfect for leisurely holidays, relaxation, or even work and training, with proximity to major centers in France, including EDF. The Alps are just an hour away, offering spectacular natural spaces along the way. The area is also ideal for outdoor activities, such as safe cycling, beginner hiking, tree climbing parks, and amusement parks like Walibi. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Caves of Balme, the medieval town of Pérouges, or the bird park of Villars-les-Dombes.

For those seeking excitement, try rafting or jet skiing on the Rhone River. The property is conveniently located 40 km from Lyon, 18 km from the A42 Lagnieu exit, or 1 hour and 15 minutes from Geneva via the A42 Ambérieu exit. The nearest airport, Saint Exupéry, is just 35 km away.

Horia and Francis are delighted to welcome you to this idyllic refuge, where destiny awaits.
