Description for B&B:

The Domaine de Blacons is a charming family home that effortlessly combines simplicity and elegance, creating an atmosphere where time seems to stand still.

Our deep-rooted connection to this stunning region of the Drome Valley has motivated us to preserve this property, which has been in our family for generations. Continuing the adventure started by our parents almost 40 years ago, we invite guests to experience the magic of this magnificent area.

Nestled in the heart of the Drome Valley, between the picturesque Vercors and Provence, this 17th century home showcases the architectural style typical of the region. Perched on sloping terrain, it consists of two main buildings. Throughout the year, we extend a warm welcome to our guests, providing them with a comfortable and elegant environment that feels like home. Surrounded by three hectares of enchanting gardens, filled with the harmonious melody of chirping crickets, our property offers the perfect sanctuary for those seeking a natural escape. During the renovation process from 2010 to 2013, ecological materials were thoughtfully incorporated, showcasing our commitment to environmental consciousness.

We are dedicated to fulfilling the desires of our guests, ensuring that they lack nothing during their stay. Drawing from our own experiences, we are eager to share the exceptional qualities of this area.

The Domaine de Blacons serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the mesmerizing Drome region, a paradise for nature enthusiasts. With a plethora of outdoor activities available, such as water sports along the River Drome or in the Roanne valley, paragliding, horse riding, mountain biking, and breathtaking nature trails, there is something for everyone. The nearby sloping forest of Saou is a beloved destination for walkers and climbers. Mirabel-et-Blacons itself serves as an entry point to the Regional Natural Park of the Vercors and the Valley of Gervanne, offering refreshing waterfalls, stunning cliffs, and lush countryside. Thanks to an excellent climate and organic agricultural practices, the biodiversity in this area is remarkably abundant. As the first department in France to be designated Bio, the Drome boasts exceptional markets where visitors can discover and savor exceptional local products. History enthusiasts can embark on a Michelin-recognized excursion to the medieval tower of Crest or explore the charming mountain villages, where talented artists and artisans create a wide range of unique creations.
