Welcome to our charming Cape Cod home, just 25 minutes from the White House and the US Capitol. As your European hostess and former World Bank economist, I take pride in welcoming you to our lovely abode. Equipped with central air conditioning and heating, WIFI, a sun terrace, and an enchanting garden with a large private pool, our home offers both comfort and relaxation.

Your accommodation will be in the PENTHOUSE suite on the top floor, providing a magnificent view of the pool and neighboring gardens. This suite boasts wooden floors, a private bathroom, and a spacious bedroom complete with built-in bookcases, a built-in desk, and two small closets.

On the MAIN LEVEL of our home, you will find a spacious dining room and living room combination with a terrace leading to the backyard. Additionally, there is a country-style kitchen equipped with modern amenities including a dishwasher, gas range, microwave, food processor, coffee maker, and a large fridge.

Situated in a lush, leafy 1950s-style neighborhood, our home is conveniently located near major access roads and public transportation. A short 10-15 minute walk will take you to the MARC train, providing easy access to the US Capitol and the White House in just 25 minutes (4 stops). If you prefer to drive, Beach Drive is only a 5-minute drive away, offering a scenic route through forests and parkland leading to downtown DC in approximately 20-30 minutes (please be cautious of deer crossings!). Additionally, our home is within walking distance of 2 metro stations on the red line and several metro buses, providing convenient transportation options to downtown Washington DC and Bethesda.

If you wish to explore the neighborhood, feel free to relax by the pool, your own private oasis in close proximity to the capital of the world. Alternatively, you can take a leisurely stroll to Antique Row in old-town Kensington (just a 10-minute walk), dine at one of the charming restaurants, go for a jog or bike ride along Beach Drive, or visit the stunning Mormon Temple at Beach Drive & Stoneybrook (only a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk away).

In short, there is an abundance of activities to enjoy in and around our home. Whether you choose to explore the bustling city or simply unwind in our tranquil surroundings, boredom will be the least of your concerns.
