This enchanting Maison de Maitre, constructed in 1890, is nestled in the tranquil and lush surroundings on the border of Charente and Dordogne, near Angouleme. Adorned with tasteful Swedish-style decor, it exudes both elegance and coziness, creating a magically inviting atmosphere. This idyllic abode serves as the perfect base for exploring the renowned wine regions of Cognac and Bordeaux, as well as the charming countryside and vibrant Brocante markets of Charente and Dordogne, with their picturesque villages. Alternatively, it offers a comfortable and convenient overnight stop for those embarking on a longer journey through France. Situated not far from the main north-south autoroute N10, we are more than happy to provide recommendations for exceptional day trips. As an added bonus, a delightful continental breakfast is included. Moreover, for those seeking a taste of culture, Paris is a mere 2.5-hour TGV ride away.

We have a private suite available, boasting splendid views of the meticulously landscaped grounds and gardens. The suite features an incredibly comfortable king-sized double bed, along with a private bathroom equipped with a bath and shower. Additionally, there is a separate dressing room/sitting room for your convenience. The nearest airports are Bordeaux or Limoges, and there is easy access to the Eurostar from London via Paris or Lilles. Please note that a minimum stay of 2 nights is required, and for an additional charge, we can accommodate a third guest with the provision of an extra bed.
