Description:

Description for Gite

Mas de la Gache is a charming and historic farm dating back to the early 17th century. Over the past 12 years, our dedicated team of Esmé, Eddie, Julia, and Lucie have lovingly restored the property and transformed it into a delightful holiday apartment. Located in a serene setting outside the village, our "Mas" offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Situated just a short 15-minute walk from the village, our farm is separated from it by the picturesque Cèze River. This distance ensures a tranquil atmosphere, free from traffic noise, streetlights, and crowded resorts. Instead, you can expect a serene environment filled with the soothing sounds of birds chirping, chickens clucking, and roosters crowing. You'll also have the pleasure of enjoying fresh eggs and delicious tomatoes straight from our farm.

The climate in our region is favorable for most of the year, allowing you to fully appreciate the beauty of our surroundings. With plenty of space to relax and unwind, you can indulge in long siestas under the shade of trees by the riverside or savor late breakfasts and delectable dinners outdoors.

Our spacious and comfortable 80 m2 apartment is located on the first floor of one of our barns. It features a roof terrace overlooking the picturesque yard, two double (or triple) bedrooms with private bathrooms, and a large open living area with a kitchen. Restored in accordance with traditional building styles, the apartment offers a refreshing haven during warm summer days.

Inside, you'll find all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay, including a well-equipped kitchen, TV, a cozy woodstove, and heated bathrooms. Outside, there is ample space for leisure activities, walks, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings.

Goudargues, a charming village with a population of around 1000, is steeped in history, and the remnants of its rich past can be seen throughout the area. Known as "La Venice Gardoise" (Venice of the Gard) in the Le Gard department, the village is famous for its enchanting canals that wind through the center. Goudargues is the hub of eco-tourism in the region, offering a wide range of amenities such as bakeries, butcher shops, hairdressers, beauty parlors, a supermarket, numerous bars and restaurants, a post office, tourist information, and various unique shops.

Despite the regular influx of visitors, Goudargues maintains a relaxed and easy-going atmosphere, providing ample opportunities to indulge in a cold beer or a refreshing pastis on the terraces shaded by the ancient 200-year-old "platanes" trees.
