ENVIRONMENT, VIEW, AND NEIGHBORHOOD: The cottage is located in a peaceful countryside hamlet, nestled on the outskirts of a forest. There are only fifteen residents in the hamlet, along with plenty of deer and wild boar, which lucky visitors may spot in the garden. The cottage offers uninterrupted views of the picturesque countryside. While it is attached to the owners' house, it has a separate entrance, ensuring complete independence.

INSIDE AND OUTSIDE FEATURES: The cottage is charming and inviting, featuring a spacious main living area measuring 30 square meters with a high ceiling of 4 meters. This area includes a well-equipped kitchen and a dining space with a gas hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and washing machine. A large bay window opens onto a covered balcony facing south, measuring 6 square meters. Overlooking the living area is a cozy mezzanine, furnished with two beds - one measuring 120 cm and the other partitioned with blackout curtains and measuring 140 cm. There is also a spacious 2 square meter closet. Adjacent to the mezzanine, under the roof, is a 6 square meter bathroom with a shower, sink, toilet, and another large closet. WiFi access is available, and if needed, there is a changing table, a cot, and a high chair. Please note that sheets and towels are not provided. Pets are accepted under certain conditions.

LOCATION AND NEARBY CITIES: The cottage is conveniently located just 5 minutes from the center of Lavelanet. It is also within a short distance of various cities, including Montségur (13 km), Mirepoix (18 km), Camon (20 km), Foix (25 km), Tarascon (35 km), Pamiers (45 km), Carcassonne (60 km), St Girons, and St Lizier. It is also in close proximity to Cathar castles, medieval towns, and prehistoric sites. Additionally, the valleys of Couserans and Vicdessos can be reached within 1 hour, while Andorra, the sea, and Spain are just 1 hour and 30 minutes away.

ACTIVITIES & RECREATION: The Ariège region offers a wide range of activities and recreational opportunities. These include canoeing, canyoning, rafting, hydro speed, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, swimming in water bodies, rivers, and mountain lakes, as well as tree climbing. The Olmes Mountains ski resort, located 20 km away, is also open in the summer, offering activities such as downhill mountain biking, zip lines, archery, and climbing. Visitors can also explore natural attractions, such as the underground river of Bouiche, Lake Montbel, the Frau gorges, Plateau de Beille, altitude lakes, and the Luzenac talc quarry park with bamboo. Other points of interest include the intermittent Fontestorbes fountain, a tree climbing site, the Bélesta forest, and the Roquefort Les Cascades waterfalls. For those interested in history, there are numerous caves to explore, including Niaux, Cow, Lombrives, Bédeilhac, Maz dAzil, and the Prehistoric Park.
