This charming residence has been lovingly restored and tastefully decorated in a minimal modern style with a touch of the orient. It is perfect for a couple or a single person.

On the ground floor, you will find a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, complete with a gas hob, fan oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, and more. The kitchen features an oak worktop, unpolished marble tile floor, and high-quality stainless steel saucepans and frying pans. It is stocked with all the utensils, attractive crockery, cutlery, and glasses you could need.

The first floor boasts a bright and airy living room with a wooden floor. Double doors lead to a peaceful patio at the back of the house, which overlooks a small garden with a sun terrace. The garden is filled with beautiful flowers and herbs, and it is equipped with a BBQ and comfortable garden furniture. The living room is furnished with sky TV, DVD player, stereo system, and a great collection of books about the local area.

On the second floor, you will find a spacious bedroom with an attached bathroom. The bed is very comfortable with an orthopedic mattress, and there is a fan and mosquito net provided for added comfort. The bedroom also features Egyptian cotton bed linen, a power shower, and luxury towels.

This charming residence is located in a sleepy hamlet just five kilometers east of Lalinde. The village has a Boulangerie where you can get fresh bread and croissants every morning, as well as an excellent restaurant with a stunning view over the river. There is also a superb cave nearby that sells many local organic wines. The surrounding countryside is perfect for leisurely walks, and there are local markets to explore every day.

With its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful countryside, delicious food and wine, and friendly locals, this place will make you fall in love with France all over again. The minimum rental period is one week, from Friday to Friday.

Located just 5km from Badefols, this charming house is situated on the left side of the road, opposite a convenient car park.

By car, Bordeaux is only 1.30 hours away, with direct flights available from Dublin (Aer Lingus), Cork, Edinburgh, Porto, and Bologna (Ryanair), as well as other European connections. Often referred to as France's second city, Bordeaux is equally as beautiful as Paris, but on a smaller scale.

If you're a wine enthusiast, you'll be thrilled to know that the renowned wine region of St. Emillion is just 1.00 hour away. This picturesque town is famous for its vineyards and offers a truly unique experience.

In just 40 minutes, you can reach Sarlat, a perfectly preserved old town that dates back to medieval and renaissance times. As the capital of Black Périgord, Sarlat showcases over 1,000 years of architectural wonders, with its charming lanes, stone roofs, and historic stone walls.

For breathtaking views of the Dordogne River and countryside, head to Domme, which is only 30 minutes away. Unlike many other bastide towns, Domme still retains its original fortified walls and gateways, making it a truly special place to visit.

Within a 35-minute drive, you'll find Montpazier, a National Heritage Site and the best-preserved bastide town in the Dordogne. It is considered the most typical example of a bastide in the entire southwest of France.

Bergerac, just 30 minutes away, is not only home to an airport with direct flights from Stanstead, Bristol, East Midlands, Liverpool, and Brussels, but it also has a rich wine heritage dating back to the thirteenth century. Take a stroll through the Récollects Cloisters, now housing Bergerac's "Maison des Vins," and don't forget to explore the local shops.

Within a 25-minute drive, you'll arrive in Issigeac, a village enclosed by circular walls. Its narrow roads create a medieval atmosphere, with the stone and wood buildings adding to its historic charm. Don't miss the Sunday market, followed by a delightful lunch at one of the two superb restaurants in the area.

Directions

To get to Sarlat from Lalinde, follow the D29 road. After driving for about 5 km, you will reach the village of Badefols. At this point, make a right turn and continue for 200 meters. The house will be located on your left, across from the car park.
