Welcome to our charming country cottage in St. Margaret of Elle, approved by "Gite de France" with a 3-epis rating. This historic stone building from the 17th century has been completely renovated and offers accommodation for up to eight people. Nestled on a large enclosed area between Bayeux and St. Lo, our cottage is conveniently located near the landing beaches, the Regional Park of Cotentin and Bessin, and is an ideal starting point for exploring the Normandy coast and the Manche department, including the famous Bay of Veys and the iconic Mont St. Michel.

Our cottage is perfect for families or groups seeking a comfortable and authentic stay. The house is independent and offers a spacious layout. On the ground floor, you'll find an inviting entrance, a large fully-equipped kitchen (25 m2), a cozy living room (40 m2) with sofas and armchairs, a separate lounge area, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. Upstairs, there are five bedrooms with a total of five single beds and two double beds, along with an additional bathroom and two toilets.

We provide all the necessary amenities for a convenient stay, including a dishwasher, washing machine, interior and exterior dryer, wall oven, ceramic hob, electric heating, and a stove. Weekly rates vary depending on the season, with high season rates at €550, mid season rates at €385, and low season rates at €290. For shorter stays, we offer weekend rates at €190 and midweek rates at €240. There is also the possibility of renting the cottage on a monthly basis.

Additional charges for water, electricity, and heating apply from November 1 to April 30 (€25 per week) and from May 1 to October 31 (€15 per week). Pets are welcome at an additional cost of €10 per week. For your convenience, we offer bed linen and towel rental for €10 per person, as well as an optional end of stay cleaning service for €35.

During your stay, you'll have plenty of activities to enjoy in the surrounding area, including hiking, horseback riding, and cycling through the beautiful groves and villages along the Vire River. Other nearby attractions include the St. Lo aquatic center, golf courses, fishing spots, bowling alleys, and opportunities to explore the rich local heritage. Children will also find plenty of games and activities to keep them entertained.

Directions

If you prefer to travel by train, the closest train station is Lison station, situated 3 km away. This station offers direct routes to Caen, Cherbourg, and Paris.

If you choose to drive, you can take the N12 highway from either Caen or Cherbourg. Take exit 37a, which will lead you towards Ballymena, Saint Lo, and Cerizy Forest.
