Description for B&B:

The PLESSIS BELLEVUE MANOR, located in Saumur in the Loire Valley, is a historic eighteenth-century property with a strong connection to VICTOR HUGO. This renowned poet, playwright, novelist, and politician stayed at the manor multiple times as it was the residence of his friend and personal physician EMILE LEON-ALLIX. The manor has been completely renovated by Alain Nicolas and Veronique Coquema, transforming it into a charming guest house that combines comfort with the "Art de Vivre French." The property boasts a beautiful landscaped garden and a heated swimming pool with breathtaking views of the city of Saumur and the Loire River.

The main house offers five suites, each with a historical style and equipped with modern comforts such as a bath or shower, WiFi, safe, satellite TV, and a flat screen. Additionally, there is a large lounge with a library and a spacious dining room. THE COTTAGE, a fully equipped Gite de France, features a lounge and three bedrooms, including one with handicap accessibility.

The FLAG VICTOR HUGO is home to a billiard room with a French balcony and an Eiffel staircase that offers stunning views of the Loire River. This space, known as a true smoker's retreat with a cellar for cigars, is suitable for small receptions or events and provides access to the carved Roc cellar, known as The Den BACCHUS.

The FLAG Plantagenets has been equipped with an indoor fitness spa that includes a jacuzzi, massage room, and a table tennis table, all adorned with paintings by contemporary masters.

The PLESSIS BELLEVUE MANOR also offers the possibility of hosting local and intimate receptions in its landscaped gardens, making it an ideal venue for weddings, birthdays, events, and private seminars.
