Originally a part of the ancient woods known as "Bois Bard" and once owned by M. Fouquet, the financial minister of King Louis XIV of France, the "Clos" has a rich history. In the 19th century, the second and third floors were added to this remarkable property. Notably, the esteemed author Honoré De Balzac was a frequent guest of the owner during this time.
