Description:

Description for B&B:

Experience a warm and inviting atmosphere at La Vieille Distillerie, a beautifully restored Maison de Maitre from the mid-nineteenth century, complete with its own former Cognac distillery.

During the winter months, our centrally heated house offers an even cozier welcome with crackling log fires and romantic candlelit dinners.

Located in the picturesque south Charente region, there is an abundance of activities to enjoy, including captivating cookery classes at Chez Cartier with Reza Mahammed, visits to local Cognac distilleries, delightful wine-tasting experiences, golfing, fishing, horse-riding, and bird-watching. Explore the rich history of the area by visiting the many charming towns and villages, each boasting intriguing Chateaux and stunning gardens.

Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Le Tatre, just 4 kilometers off the N10 route towards the South and Spain, our location serves as a convenient stopover or an ideal base for exploring the breathtaking French countryside. Surrounded by vineyards, sunflower fields, and rolling hills, the quiet roads are perfect for cyclists, walkers, and birdwatchers, offering sightings of fascinating species such as the Hoopoe, Black Redstart, Serin, Black Kite, and Zetting Cisticole in the Le Tatre area.

For those searching for their dream home, we are excellently positioned near the borders of three Departments - the Charente Maritime, the Gironde, and the Dordogne. Additionally, a fishing lake and a tennis court are just a few yards away from our house, while an eleventh century church overlooks our picturesque garden.

Appréciations pour La Vieille Distillerie, Le Tatre:

Pour une nuit
Review by: Rémy et Agnès , Sep 22 2019 7:27PM
